Problem/Need: Garden needed a focal point.
Solution: A water feature was created using Cumbria blue slate. The slate was built up in layers over a large sump. The position of the slate mean that only a relatively small pump was needed to create a waterfall effect. The pump can be accessed by lifting decking boards in front of the water feature.
Problem/Need: No hard standing to enjoy garden area. No focal point.
Solution: Blue slate was laid to provide a path around the conservatory and an area for a table and chairs. The level of the slate was made the same as the lawn area to help when mowing. A low level wall in Bradstone capped with slate, was built to form a raised area in the corner of the garden. In this area a three column stainless steel water feature was installed. Spot lights were also installed in the wall to illuminate the slate patio, producing an interesting effect.
Customer testimonial: 'The quality of John's work was excellent, but the success of the job started with John gaining a real understanding of our needs and using his experience to advise us on what was possible. The end result was a garden feature that has delighted us'
