Problem/Need: The slope of the original stone sets was too steep. This caused the clients vehicle wheels to 'dig' into loose shingle beyond the stone drive.
Solution: The existing sets that formed the ramp were lifted. The ground was prepared to extend (flatten ramp) and widen drive. Grit stone sets were then laid to match the existing. The original 5 bar gate was repositioned and a new gate was installed to match the width of the drive.
Customer testimonial: ''John assisted his father in the very successful total restoration of our property over 20 years ago and now runs his own business. He is a very good craftsman, but two particular attributes stand out. He listens to you to fully establish what you wish to achieve and then makes every effort to meet those objectives.''
''Recently he has modified our drive for us and repointed two walls of the house. The standard of his work is excellent and he went out of his way to make sure that the colour of the pointing was exactly as we wanted. There are three further telling qualities in a work pattern: to be well organised, an attention to health and safety, and clearing up properly after a day's work. John demonstrates all three qualities. We cannot recommend him too highly.''
Problem/Need: Only 1 vehicle could be parked on the existing driveway.
Solution: The driveway was extended to give ample room to park 2 cars. The existing pavers were lifted. New and weathered pavers were laid together to provide a graduated appearance.
Customer testimonial: ''The driveway looks really neat and makes much better use of the space. Good quality work. We were kept informed of the programme of work and any changes to schedule due to bad weather.''
